Do I need my raw testing data?
It helps considerably. Prior raw data can typically be released to another psychologist on request, and guidance on obtaining it is provided.
Will I have to repeat all the testing?
Usually not. Only the measures needed to resolve the open question are re-administered.
How recent must the prior testing be?
Testing within roughly two years is most useful for review. Older testing may still serve as a baseline for comparison.
Will you simply confirm what I hope to hear?
No. The opinion follows the evidence, which is the only reason a second opinion carries weight.
