Evaluation 01

Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluation

A full picture of how your brain is working, measured rather than estimated.

Neuropsychological testing measures the relationship between brain function and daily life across memory, attention, processing speed, language, visual reasoning, executive function, and mood. It clarifies a diagnosis, establishes a baseline you can be compared against later, and translates findings into a plan your physician can act on.

Who this is for

This evaluation fits

  • 01Adults whose thinking has changed after illness, injury, or treatment
  • 02Patients with a neurological diagnosis who need objective cognitive data
  • 03Anyone whose prior workup produced impressions rather than measurements
  • 04Families who want a documented baseline before deciding anything

Common reasons people come

What brings people here

Memory that is no longer reliable

Word-finding difficulty

Slowed thinking after illness

Post-concussion change

A physician requested testing

Disability or accommodation documentation

What the evaluation includes

Measured, not estimated

Each area below is assessed with validated, age-normed measures and interpreted together rather than in isolation.

01Memory
02Attention
03Processing speed
04Language
05Visual reasoning
06Executive function
07Motor & sensory
08Mood & personality
09Effort & validity
01

Clinical and developmental interview

Ninety unhurried minutes on history, medical background, medications, sleep, and what changed and when.

02

Standardized cognitive battery

Validated measures across every domain above, selected for your specific referral question rather than a fixed template.

03

Validity and effort measures

Embedded throughout, so the findings hold up to review by a physician, a board, or an insurer.

04

Collateral and record review

Imaging, labs, prior testing, and input from someone who knows you well, integrated into the interpretation.

Expected timeline

From first call to feedback

A small number of evaluations are scheduled each month, so each stage receives the hours it requires.

  1. Consultation

    15 minutes

A short call to confirm testing is the right way to answer your question.

    Step 1 of 5
  2. Interview

    Week 1

History, records, and the questions you want answered.

    Step 2 of 5
  3. Testing

    Week 1–2

Six to eight hours of measures, scheduled across sessions rather than crammed into one day.

    Step 3 of 5
  4. Interpretation

    Week 2–3

Scoring, integration with records, and report writing.

    Step 4 of 5
  5. Feedback

    Week 3–4

A dedicated hour reviewing every finding in plain language.

    Step 5 of 5

What patients receive

What you leave with

01

A written report

Complete findings, diagnostic reasoning, and specific recommendations, written to be used by a physician.

02

A feedback session

A full hour with your results in front of you, and time for the questions that follow.

03

A cognitive baseline

Numbers any future testing can be measured against, years from now.

04

A plan

What to monitor, what to change, whom to involve, and in what order.

Frequently asked

Questions people ask first

Can this really be done virtually?

Yes. The measures used here are validated for secure video administration, and remote testing is now standard practice in neuropsychology. Where a question genuinely requires in-person testing, you will be told so directly and referred.

Do I need a physician referral?

No. Many patients arrive on their own. If a physician is involved, the report is written so it can be used in their care.

What if the testing finds nothing?

That is a meaningful result. Objective evidence that cognition is intact redirects the question toward sleep, mood, medication, or medical causes, and gives you a baseline for the future.

Is insurance accepted?

This is a private-pay practice. A detailed superbill is provided for out-of-network reimbursement, and a Good Faith Estimate is issued before any work begins.
