Evaluation 05
Executive Functioning & Brain Health
For capable adults who want to understand why certain demands cost so much.
Planning, initiation, organization, working memory, emotional regulation, and follow-through, evaluated objectively. Also for adults with a family history of dementia or a vascular or metabolic risk profile who want a documented baseline while everything still feels intact.

Who this is for
This evaluation fits
- 01Adults who are effective in most respects and stalled in a few specific ones
- 02Leaders and clinicians whose responsibilities have outgrown their systems
- 03Adults with a family history of dementia who want a baseline now
- 04Anyone with vascular or metabolic risk who wants a documented starting point
Common reasons people come
What brings people here
Knowing the next step and not starting it
Systems that never quite hold
Follow-through that depends on urgency
A recent stretch of unusual overload
Family history of cognitive decline
Wanting a baseline while well
What the evaluation includes
Measured, not estimated
Each area below is assessed with validated, age-normed measures and interpreted together rather than in isolation.
Functional interview
Where the effort actually goes across work, home, and the parts nobody sees.
Executive measures
Performance-based tests of planning, flexibility, inhibition, and working memory.
Cognitive baseline battery
Core memory, attention, and language measures documented for future comparison.
Risk and lifestyle review
Sleep, vascular and metabolic factors, hearing, activity, and stress load, examined together.
Expected timeline
From first call to feedback
A small number of evaluations are scheduled each month, so each stage receives the hours it requires.
Consultation
15 minutesA short call to define the question worth answering.
Step 1 of 5Interview
Week 1History, current demands, and where the system breaks down.
Step 2 of 5Testing
Week 1–2Four to five hours of measures.
Step 3 of 5Interpretation
Week 2Scoring, pattern analysis, and report writing.
Step 4 of 5Feedback
Week 2–3Findings plus a practical, specific plan.
Step 5 of 5
What patients receive
What you leave with
An objective profile
Which executive systems are strong, which are taxed, and under what conditions.
A documented baseline
Measurements to compare against in five, ten, or twenty years.
A brain health plan
The specific, evidence-based factors shown to protect cognition, prioritized for your profile.
Practical structure
Strategy built around how you actually work, not how you are supposed to.
Frequently asked
Questions people ask first
Is this the same as an ADHD evaluation?
Related but distinct. If the question is whether ADHD explains the pattern, the ADHD evaluation is the right one. This evaluation measures executive function and cognitive health more broadly, with or without a diagnostic question.
Can I do this if nothing is wrong?
Yes, and it is a reasonable thing to do. A baseline taken while everything feels intact is the most valuable one you can have.
Does brain health planning actually change outcomes?
The evidence supports several modifiable factors — sleep, vascular health, hearing, activity, and cognitive engagement among them. The plan is built on that literature, not on supplements.
How long does the whole process take?
Typically two to three weeks from interview to feedback.
